This book of compelling stories about this later-in-life event, often unexpected in its timing and scope, delivers points of view from the parents, adult children, and professional move managers. These real-life issues of communication, downsizing decisions pertaining to personal possessions, and sharing and sustaining memories convey the love, compassion, disappointment, and perseverance experienced by those coping through this difficult transitional time, reminding readers that they are not alone. The grace and grit exhibited in these true stories—from loved ones, friends, and other regular people—will bring solace through inspiration.

WHAT WE DO –
For builders and re-modelers, the aging-in-place market space is expanding in exponential proportions. Remodeling projects, typically completed to meet a desire to upgrade or change, can be expanded to a more universal design approach. Extra features can be integrated into project designs to accommodate the clients today and tomorrow.
We provide the expertise, experience and perspective to work with your clients and your team to add value to the remodeling process and projects.
For managers of communities (independent and assisted living) and owners of the board and care residences, there is an inherent business risk when a client falls in their community. The likelihood that the client will be able to return, after hospitalization, rehab and the re-evaluation of the situation by anxious family members, is a significant contributor to client turnover.
Our consulting for fall risk hazards and development of fall prevention strategies can improve outcomes for the residents and the community.
We evaluate common spaces, living spaces and apartments to determine opportunities to reduce risks.
** The consulting services are available on a project basis or hourly basis.
Please contact click on contact to schedule a fall risk mitigation survey of your community as soon as possible.
